The Family Eviction Prevention Supplement (FEPS) was created by the New York City Human Resources Administration in May 2005 as a program to help prevent evictions of families on welfare shelter. It provides additional housing assistance to Cash Assistance (CA) eligible families with children, above and beyond the CA shelter amount.
In order to qualify for FEPS you must be on full Public Assistance (PA) with no sanctions, below are some other qualifications:
- Are you currently in a Housing Court for Non-Payment?
- Do you have a City-Agency Vacate Order?
- Are the rent arrears $7,000 or less?
- Are there any Sanctions on you PA case?
- Are all of the children in the household on PA budget?
- Is the rent in line with the FEPS guideline?
- Do you have an apartment lease in your name?
- If you are in shelter, are you there less then 6 months?
- Were you part of the Advantage Program?
If you answered YES to most of the questions, you might be eligible for the FEPS program.

LANDLORDS NAME AND NUMBER
HOUSING COURT STIPULATION
WELFARE I.D. CARD
CURRENT LEASE
